The Lazio regional chapter of Amnesty International Italy

Amnesty International

Amnesty International is the world's largest global movement for human rights. Founded in 1961 by British lawyer Peter Benenson, it has grown into a network of over 10 million people and operates in 72 countries and territories through national sections, structures and offices of the International Secretariat.

In 1977, Amnesty International was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, and in 1978 the United Nations Human Rights Prize.

The Lazio Chapter

The Lazio Regional Chapter coordinates Amnesty International's activities across the region with 12 territorial groups, 2 youth groups and 2 outposts in the five provinces: Rome, Viterbo, Rieti, Latina and Frosinone.

Our activities include campaigns and petition drives, public events, school workshops, activist training, and dialogue with local institutions.
