Specialists, beyond local groups

serve human rights.

Beyond local groups, Amnesty is made of Working Groups and Coordinations: thematic structures where research, advocacy, communication and training happen. If you have a specialist area of expertise or a passion, this is where it can meet the network.

How thematic structures work

Three principles that make Working Groups and Coordinations different from local groups.

Cross-cutting

They don't answer to a territory but to a theme or geographic area. An activist from Latina can work with one from Viterbo in the same WG.

Specialist

They bring professional skills: lawyers, journalists, researchers, communication experts, archivists. Skills that a local group doesn't have on its own.

Bridges to the national

Coordinations connect Lazio's voice to the Italian Section and the International Secretariat. They are not closed boxes: they are channels.
